The SPLS Experience
Experience the St. Paul Lutheran School difference…
Walkathon
Year after year, Wally the Walkathon Whale joins us to encourage our students as they raise funds in support of various school projects. Last year, Wally got out his cowboy boots and hat and celebrated all things western. We can’t wait to see what Wally has dreamed up this year!
Pizza Lunch
Our Eighth Grade class plans and serves Pizza Lunch several times a year for our student body. The funds they raise help defray costs of their Class Trip. Our students LOVE 8th grade Pizza Lunch and look forward to the fun and creative themes!
chapel buddies
Seventh grade students are matched with Pre-K students as Chapel Buddies. In addition to sitting together during weekly Chapel, these buddies get together for fun activities throughout the year. Our Seventh graders enjoy mentoring their young friends, and our PreK students LOVE spending time with their older friends.
Feed my starving children
St. Paul Lutheran School is proud to support the Feed My Starving Children Mobile Pack event that St. Paul Lutheran Church hosts annually. In addition to financial support collected as Chapel Offering, our 4th through 8th grade students participate in the mobile pack event. Last year, our students packed 119 boxes filled with 25,704 meals in just under 2 hours. That means 70 children will have a daily meal for one year!
class trips
Class trips are offered for our older students as an opportunity for off-campus learning and personal growth. Our Sixth Grade students have visited Sky Ranch for an overnight learning experience. Seventh Grade visits Austin and San Antonio to reinforce Texas History. The Eighth Grade Class has visited Memphis and Little Rock and experienced a variety of activities designed to celebrate the end of their St. Paul journey and support their US History educational experience.
senior sending
It is our JOY to welcome back St. Paul Lutheran School graduates as they prepare to graduate from high school! Our Senior Sending includes time with former teachers, visits with our Comfort Dogs, a message from Pastor Audette, and one last walk through the hallways of St. Paul Lutheran School. What a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with these young adults before they launch into their next adventures!
B.A.R.K. (be a reading kid)
Our First grade students work diligently on their reading skills all school year. As they practice, we have found that our Comfort Dogs make the BEST listeners! We’re thankful to Phoebe Comfort Dog and her team for devoting weekly time to our first graders.
